Tricia grew up in Southwest Philadelphia. She was one of 13 children born to Joseph and Phyllis Davis. Tricia attended Good Shepherd elementary school and graduated from West Catholic High School for Girls. She had a long and successful career at United Parcel Service until she retired at the end of 2013.
Tricia and I started dating in high school in 1972 and we were married in 1974. We had an awesome 46 years together. Tricia and I have 3 daughters, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. She was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in February of 2017 and she left our world in June of 2018.
Tricia lived for her family. There was nothing that she wouldn't do for them. Tricia was the most loving, caring, and compassionate person I ever met. Her compassion carried over to everyone she met. She worried about everyone. Even when she was undergoing chemotherapy, Tricia was worried about everyone else.
Infusion days were terrible. Tricia was always cold. Our families and friends supplied her with blankets, scarves, and everything she needed to be warm and comfortable. However, we met a lot of women during chemo that were not as fortunate. Tricia said that she wanted to do something to help them. Grammy's Gifts is our effort to fulfill that wish.
